"I had heard many "war stories" of the degree of difficulty of building from scratch. For the architect, myself, and Dennis, we had the opposite experience. It was genuinely an enjoyable and very creative process. The final result was truly beyond our original expectations in terms of its stately beauty on its lakefront site. We found the McDonald’s company invoice system to be highly accurate and while there were variations against budget within the expense categories, the total cost came very close to original estimates."
