Starting in 2001, Dennis began entering some of his work into various builder and design competitions alongside fellow area custom home builders. In the annual Gold Coast Builder Association’s competition for the coveted PRISM Awards, Dennis competed and was awarded his first PRISM Award by local building industry members in 2001. In years since, Dennis has won various awards including, in 2002, the G.C.B.A.’s prestigious
'Best of Show' award. John McDonald Company homes were also given the honor of a magazine cover and won several Master Design Awards in various categories.
